School Transport/ Pick-Up Permit

The school provides a daily bus service to and from Queen's Hill with limited spaces. If full, a waiting list is available. You will be automatically added to the waiting list if you have requested a space.

This service is not guaranteed, and parents/carers should be prepared to arrange alternative transport to get their children to school.

The cost is £2.70 per day, payable in advance via WisePay each half-term.

Timetable details are below, although stops and times may change; parents will be notified of any adjustments. As stops are not official, buses cannot wait, so students should arrive 10 minutes early to ensure timely pick-up.

The bus arrives at school at 08:10 and departs from the school at 15:10.

We allow parents/carers to drop off students in the school car park each morning, please ensure they are dropped off by 08:25 to allow them to start their first lesson promptly at 08:30.

We expect all users to:

  • Follow the 5mph speed limit and one-way system.
  • Give priority to pedestrians and other vehicles as indicated by the road markings.
  • Keep the pedestrian crossing completely clear with no part of the crossing obstructed by stopped vehicles.

A reminder that, unless you have a pick-up permit, or have been invited into school for a meeting, parents/carers are not permitted to access the school car park after 08:30. This is to reduce safety risks caused by congestion from unauthorised vehicles parking on the school grounds to collect students at the end of the school day.

Please refer to the guidelines linked below when using nearby areas in the community to collect students https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/article/39703/Parking-safely-on-the-school-run.

Accessible parking bays

Unless a visitor, who holds a blue badge, needs to come into the school building for an appointment, these spaces should be kept available for the use of parents/carers of disabled students who have a pick-up permit.

Please note, for all buses students must carry their passes at all times and show them when boarding the bus; or risk being refused. Temporary passes can be requested from the school reception if students lose or forget their pass.

Only the stops listed in the timetables will be used and all times stated are approximate and based on normal traffic and road conditions.

Students who misbehave on the bus services will be reported to Norfolk County Council (where applicable). Students will also face behaviour sanctions from the school and possible travel bans issued by Norfolk County Council.
